Find peace in nature and slower paced days here at this cabin! Relax in the hot tub or on the oversized front patio. The outdoor firepit is available all year round. Uckor's Cottage has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a walk in shower. Also equipped with an interior electric fireplace (Seasonal/Available only in the Fall & Winter) and loft sitting area. Must be 21 years or older to rent. Free WiFi -may experience disruptions and outages

Perfect Fall Getaway

The cottage was perfect. We loved the design, fixtures and appliances. It was well appointed with everything we needed for a quick fall getaway. There were beautiful views of the fall foliage to behold from every angle in the cottage. Sitting outside watching the light change and move through the trees, breathing in the crisp fall air and listening to the birds was so relaxing. We enjoyed the fire pit very much as well as the hot tub to soak in after a day full of hiking in Hocking Hills.

Peaceful surroundings and beautiful cottage!

Love Uckor’s cottage! The 5 acre location of the cottage is so quiet and peaceful all hours of the day/night. Love all the wildlife we have enjoyed (still waiting to see a bear). The overhang front porch is wonderful during rain storms to sip your coffee and listen to “nothing” and relax. The cottage is impeccable: cleanliness, layout and design. Just a few suggestions: provide more dish towels/cloths, potholders and able to use the gas fire place during September instead of October. 5 stars!!

Everything we were looking for.

The location was exactly what we were looking for. Out of the way just enough, but not too far from modern conveniences. Everything was clean and worked the way it should. This makes a quick weekend getaway all the more enjoyable. We will definitely consider this location for a future trip. The only thing that we could have used improvement was the driveway once you got to the grounds. The incline was more extreme than expected and tested our nerves a little.

The ultimate relaxation retreat!

There's not one thing I would change. This place is spectacular and the wildlife was incredible! We created some great memories and plan to come back next year to create even more. What a great experience!

Serene Thanksgiving In the Woods

The stay at the cottage was excellent. The home and its contents were relatively new and were kept in excellent condition. The cottage had a very clean, modern vibe while maintaining a cozy feel.The gas fireplace was wonderful for the cold temperatures.The hottub was well-maintained. Beachtowels would be useful for the hottub. A mixer would be useful in the kitchen.

Peaceful Cottage

Uckor’s cottage was exactly what we needed; a relaxing get away! The cottage was very clean, nicely decorated and cozy. We loved the over sized front porch that provided protection from the rain allowing to be outside (it rained our entire stay but OH needed the rain). Just a few glitches; please have the water softner or whatever was running in the utility closet cycle during the day; not from 12:00-1:30 am, consider a hand rail for the front steps and a new mattress (big dip). Still 5 stars!!

Recommend

The cabin was clean and very cute! The perfect amount of space for the 2 of us and our dog. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. I wish we had stayed one more day. At first we were disappointed that there wasn't a closet. But honestly we found that it wasn't needed. We were there to hike and be comfortable hanging out. So hanging clothes ended up not being a big deal. I would mention that you do need to wait some time between showers for the water pressure to return to normal.

It was great!!

We loved how peaceful it was being in the woods with no one around!! It was beautiful inside, just a few problems we had with the stay: the grill didn’t work and the hot tub made our swim suits smell horrible (not sure if it needs extra cleaned or just something with the chemicals) and the silverware could of been cleaned a little bit better in between people’s stay.

Beautiful

We did enjoy our stay at the Uckor cottage very much. There are a couple suggestions I would make though. First, perhaps you could put a couple large hooks on the hall wall backing the bathroom, as there is nowhere to hang anything in the cottage. Also, I think a rustic railing on the entry stairs would be helpful, not every guest is young and well balanced on stairs. Other than that we enjoyed the seclusion, and cozy feel of the cottage and would certainly recommend it to others looking for a d

Everything you could ask for in a deep woods cottage!

Born in God's country but living in the city, I miss the pure air and quiet of my childhood. I took my wife of 22 years to the cabin for mother's day and enjoyed two nights in clean newly constructed fully operational lodge. With direct access to hiking, fishing, and firepit, we never turn on the TV!

Wonderful getaway

My wife and I stayed here for our first getaway in quite sometime and we were not disappointed. The cottage was located in a beautiful, remote location but only 20 min from anything we needed or wanted to do. The accommodations were modern and comfortable. The WiFi worked well. The relatively new gas grill fired up the first time. The hot tub was wonderful. The large front porch and the fire pit were both perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful House

The house was secluded, updated and modern. The house was clean however the water did smell strongly of iron, I was a little afraid to wash my hair so I did not the two days we were there. Everything else was exceptional.

Great for a weekend getaway

Enjoyed the cabin, great amenities, saw lots of wild life! Equipment used was operational (oven, stove, microwave, fridge, tv, grill). Would recommend bringing bottled water if well water is not desirable. Bed was comfortable, good water pressure in bathroom/kitchen. Outdoor patio/steps are well maintained. The windows/sliding doors were large and made the space feel larger. Our dog enjoyed watching the deer from the living room.

It was a nice secluded cabin, perfect for our honeymoon.

Great!

I loved the house, it was perfect cute place. My only complaint was no blinds on the bathroom window and the front door. But that is mainly cause I watch too many horror movies lol. The house was exactly what we wanted for a little weekend getaway.

This was our first trip to Hocking Hills and we could not have stayed at a more beautiful location.

Uckor's Cottage offered the perfect getaway. Sitting on the deck and enjoying a glass of wine while just listening to nature all around us was priceless. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and supplied everything we needed. We just wish we could have stayed a few more days, but we will definitely be returning.
