As you approach Whip-poor-will, the inviting exterior greets you with its rustic charm. The surrounding forest of towering hemlock trees provides a sense of seclusion and privacy, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Cozy up to a warm fireplace in the Fall or Winter. Must be 21 years or older to rent. AWD/4WD recommended.

We stayed at other cabins. They were nice but not this one. Mismatched/broken items, disappointing

Whipper Will on line looked like a rustic cabin. In reality, it has no pretty lights and inviting appearance outside. It has mismatched lawn chairs, faded cushions, and looked like an old man’s hunting/drinking cabin. Inside: the fridge was older with scratches and rusty areas, with broken door shelves that fell off. The black microwave was fashioned with a broken handle and a missing chunk out of the front of the door. The floors had nails protruding and broken threshold plates. Unsafe floors!

Cozy cabin! A great getaway from the suburbs!

Hocking Hills area is so quaint! Many things to do. Our Turtle Hill cabin was tucked away and private. We loved it! Great hot tub too.

This cabin is a true gem and our stay was lovely.

The tranquility here is off the scale. We greatly appreciated the furnishings and the kitchen had all that we needed for food prep. All in all we had a great and relaxing stay. Thank you for this place beautiful place to unwind.

An escape into the woods that we both needed .

From the chirping of the woods , to the laughter of the owls at night … we lived in our little world . The cabin was perfect in every way . Make sure you get the code before you enter the property . We had to walk up the hill to get cell service . lol

It was a great relaxing time and plenty to explore around there the seclusion is nice also here.

We loved the area and even so much to explore around the cabin . Very secluded which we wanted only thing we didn't care for is the bed it was pretty hard and the frames squeaky.but it was over all the best lil vacation we could have asked for. We will be back again

Peaceful and relaxing stay!

The Whip-poor-will cabin is small and crooked and nestled on the side of a hill, but perfect in every way! Wonderful view, quiet and so relaxing. It is just close enough to all of the sites to be handy, yet far enough away from the traffic.

The memory of my stay in this cabin surrounded by a Hemlock forest STILL brings me peace.

The cabin was cozy, welcoming and very pretty. It felt like a home. It was well built and felt safe. It was also in the middle of a Hemlock forest which gave me a feeling of peace. I loved sitting on the porch with morning coffee watching a chilly late fall rain. The roof was metal! so the rain at night made for a sweet sleep. A very special place.

Simply amazing.

We loved so many things but our favorite by far was the lack of cell service. The hot tub was perfect after we hiked the trails. The place was so comforting. We loved the dollar game. We only found three of the five but we also added one ourselves. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin. We will be staying again.

Our stay was very relaxing and just what we needed.

The cabin was great. It was clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. After hiking on the trails, the hot tub was soothing and a great way to end the day. My wife and I would definitely go here again.

Wonderful little gem in a quiet, secluded valley, run by nice people.

I loved this cabin. The deck overlooked a valley and babbling brook and was covered by trees. I loved that the grounds itself was like a camp. I hiked up the hill through the woods, and it was right up against the edge of the state park so it was very secluded feeling. Unlike other cabins, the water tasted good and the shower had nice water pressure. All was clean and well stocked. I left my headphones and the owner brought them to my house on her way through Columbus! Amazing! I'll be back!

Quiet cozy cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at the Whip-poor-will. It was very clean, comfortable and cozy. It has a nice hot tub and the privacy to enjoy it. The heater works great but if you get a chill the gas fireplace will heat up the main room quickly. There's an outdoor fire pit and a supply of firewood.
