The Rocky Villa

Our stay at the rocky villa felt like our own private retreat. Besides leaving to hike we chose to eat our meals and spend all of our down time enjoying the home and property. We loved the fact that our grand dogs could join us. They played in the water and with no neighbors we didn’t have to be concerned about them being distracted.

Property was quiet, clean, beautiful and close to locations

We liked all of the amenities of the property; the sauna and whirlpool, the land, the sound of water falls around the home, the fire pit. We used it all and enjoyed it all

Thank you so much for the kind words—we’re really glad you enjoyed the home and all the amenities! It sounds like you made the most of everything, which is exactly what we love to hear. We’d be happy to host you again anytime!

Enjoyed that it was quaint, yet open concept. Comfortable furniture and beds. Soft sheets & towels. Cool amenities: hot tub, sauna, and landscaped with bridge with waterfalls. Two story stone fireplace was very majestic. Could not originally find Remotes for heat/air (was looking on walls for a gauge). Bathroom floors were extremely cold. Fireplace had too strong of fumes, causing us to not use it. Need mini direction note posted with various "how to do's".

The grounds there were just fantastic. We hiked two days just around the property itself which was great not to have to drive anywhere. The scenery was just beautiful. Also loved that the bedrooms were like suites in their own wings of the house. Suggestions would be more comfortable chairs at the table area, bathrooms were cold in temp for some reason, and showers really leaked a lot of water out into the bathroom and soaked through towels which we had to hang to dry every day.

The set up, both indoor and outdoor.

It was a beautiful home in a beautiful and quiet setting. We enjoyed using the hot tub and fire pit and the back porch for reading and eating outside.

The Rocky Villa is a really great property to enjoy if you're in/near Hocking Hills. It's very off the beaten path, although there are some homes around it, but the driveway is long and the home is far enough away that no one really sees you. Great layout for two couples or a family. Would 10/10 stay here again. It's a little on the pricey side, but we thought it was a great value.

This is truly one of the most beautiful places on this Earth. Loved the seclusion of the property and natural wonders. The constant sound of a rushing waterfall was a dream. Excellent customer service and clean accommodations.

Stayed for the weekend and everything was pristine; the views, the decor, the hot tub. It checked all of our boxes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could’ve stayed longer! A truly relaxing setting. We will definitely be back!

Atmosphere, relaxing, private

We loved the peaceful scenery. The location was private, and the waterfalls were gorgeous to look at and listen to from the back deck. We had a great stay enjoying the trails but also cooking, relaxing and playing games at the cabin.

We had booked a cabin in July with bookhocking and had issues and the owners made it right, and our latest day in the new cabin was absolutely amazing. The decor in the cabin was perfect, the location is great, hot water, comfortable beds, sauna pod, hot tub. There was still some snow left on the ground so it made for the most beautiful landscape to look at while in the hot tub. Everyone we sent pictures to said , “where is this?” Will definitely be back!

The entire property is amazing, we enjoyed the fireplace to warm up after being outside in the snow. The cabin is perfectly set up for extended friends or family with the dual bedrooms with baths. Lots of cozy throw blankets, games, and comfortable beds. Kitchen is fully stocked with many items needed to cook with. Very relaxing place to stay with all the comforts of home.

My wife and I stayed there for my 50th birthday. I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of my busy job and it was the perfect place. The scenery and the accommodations were beautiful.

Spacious, beautifully decorated living room with fireplace and huge TV. Lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds and bedding. The stairs in back leads from the deck down to a lighted covered bridge, a fire pit, and the Rocky Villa Bar. Just a gorgeous natural setting to explore.

We went with another couple to hike Hocking Hills. The Rocky Villa is perfect for two couples. We both had our own beautiful bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is well appointed. We loved that they had our favorite Starbucks coffee for the Keurig. We enjoyed the hot tub after hiking all day. The barbecue worked out well since they are not many restaurants around Hocking Hills. The property was so private. Honestly one of the nicest rental units we have ever stayed in! More hooks are needed.

We loved the layout of the house, it was perfect for our group. Our kids had a blast playing in the water and the adults loved the firepit at nighttime.
